In industries working with high
explosive gases, substances or dusts special demands for data
input devices are required. InduKey's new silicone keyboard
TKG-105-EX with EX-approval is ideal for use in these hazardous
environments. In addition, this keyboard offers a high
protection level of IP69K (NEMA 6+6P).
The new keyboard, enclosed in a silicone rubber case, is sealed
to IP69K (NEMA 6+6P) making it completely waterproof and
dustproof. A special surface coating and an abrasion proof
printing ensure the protection against harsh cleaning fluids and
other chemicals.
The keyboard resists extreme temperatures from -20°C to +50°C
and the 105 short travel keys with their rounded keytops have a
keyswitch lifetime of more than 3 million operations. Due to its
compact dimensions of 387 x 150 x 20 mm it is suitable for the
use in standard drawers.
Furthermore, InduKey offers the TKH-MAUS-EX mouse matching the
keyboard. This mouse has a PS/2 connector and is also enclosed
in silicone fulfilling the standards of explosion hazardous
areas. Due to its optical scanning technology the inner parts
are protected against dirt ingress as well as against wearout.
A galvanic isolation via barrier – also available at InduKey –
ensures additional protection, because PC and keyboard are not
directly connected together. InduKey offers the keyboard with
US-layout and a PS/2 connection. Other language versions are
available on request.
The TKS-105a-MGEH is a
membrane keyboard in a stainless steel enclosure. This keyboard is the
answer to reliability in data input in hygiene sensitive and harsh
environments.

travel keyboard family (TKS-105a-[TB38/TOUCH]-MGEH).
The new keyboard is ideal for any
application including pharmaceutical and food & beverage environments.
This new keyboard comes in a stainless steel enclosure with a bead-blast
finish and is mounted flush in the stainless steel case for easy
cleaning. The polyester front foil is wear and tear resistant and can
withstand most chemicals. It is available as keyboard only or with 38mm
Trackball or a capacitive touchpad for easy cursor control. A resistive
touchpad is available on request. The whole keyboard and enclosure is
IP65 sealed and the steel construction makes it extremely rugged and
ideal for any industrial environment.
The keyboard is based, like the rest of the short travel keyboard range,
on Omron mechanical short travel switches and protected by a 3mm thick
aluminum front plate. The keyboard is available in many language layouts
and has the choice of PS/2 or USB interface.
The complete keyboard is only 35mm high and slopes to 20mm height at the
front. This stylish rugged keyboard is the answer to reliability in data
input in hygiene sensitive and harsh environments.
